The Jockey of Burnham Market has (justifiably) earned an enviable reputation for fantastic food, exceptional choice, creative dishes and divine ingredients that are magnificently used to create dishes that bring diners back time and again. Little advertising has ever been required as ‘word of mouth’ has travelled far and wide.
Our attractive, intimate 24 seater restaurant has recently been refurnished to create an atmosphere that encourages lunch and evening diners to linger and savour every mouth-watering dish; in an ambience and comfort that perfectly compliment the experience. The restaurant is non-smoking, so the only aromas are those of the inspired kitchen creations.
The menu is a work of creativity that brings together both traditional and world flavours to offer dishes you will love. Perhaps you will try Thai Fish Cakes with a sweet chilli sauce, Crispy Pork Belly and black pepper caramel or Poached Chicken, peppered mash, green beans with white wine sauce? Or, Liver & Bacon, mash, vegetables and onion gravy will appeal to the traditionalist in you. A Jockey Burger with hand-cut chips is always popular and nothing like any burger you are likely to have had.
Whatever you choose, from tempting starters, through satisfying main courses and deliciously indulgent desserts, you will be satisfied, delighted and (very likely) another ‘regular’ visitor. Our team of fabulously friendly and professional staff look forward to getting to know you.
As you can imagine, any excuse for a celebration appeals to the creativity of our kitchen team, so we fill up early for Christmas, Valentines and all other occasions that call for incredible food and celebration. We are happy to take bookings, so do call soon if you would like to reserve a place.
A drink before a meal or a bar meal can be had in the Owners & Trainers Bar, a small and relaxed lounge bar that also offers bar meals as well as a good choice of real ales, beers and wines. Next door, the Grandstand Bar is a warm and cosy bar with two screens which show all the major football and sporting action.
